Mariette Bodier had written and published many poems and short stories in literary magazines in the United States, Canada and England.

She is currently working on a novel for which a Dutch publisher has expressed interest.

Furthermore Mariette is a keen translator of English/Dutch - Dutch/English.
She has done judicial translations for law firms as well as other types of translations like literature, promotion and business reports.
In Amsterdam she teaches English and Spanish at language institutes like The Language Academy, Amsterdam and Stichting IVIO, Lelystad.

She did translations for; lawfirm Stibbe, lawfirm Abbema and Amnesty International.
